print quality bad, but worth watching

This French version must be at least third generation or more, with parts so whited out nothing can be seen, though the audio is passable.
MacDonald's french is very good as opposed to her Italian, and it is interesting to see different interpretations MacDonald gave to the part. Just to hear Sonia/MacDonald say to Danilo/Chevalier that he is definitely not "ooh, ooh"' ("definitely not terrific"), makes it worth watching.
The French actors that replace the English cast are o.k. but Edward Everett Horton is sorely missed.
