This marionette realization of Shakespeare's play is simply magical. The Zeus version is the Czech original only, but the English version (with Richard Burton narrating and fine English voice acting, but with mediocre video quality) is available elsewhere (I found it at Loving the Classics). I've used Corel Video Studio Pro to marry the two versions. Zeus's copy of the Czech original is as good a copy of the film as I've found.

This is the original version of a puppet animation based on William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM. Featuring scintillating costumes, extraordinarily evocative music by Vaclav Trojan, and designs by Jiri Tnrka, this full-length adaptation captures in full the magic of the text. Only drawback is Czech narration with no subtitles. Highly recommended nonetheless, a superb visual treat.
