Helen, a widow long retired from teaching, lives alone in a charming house brimming with books and small treasures from her years with her husband, Charlie Parker, a military hero and aviator, who was her one true love.
Helen spends her time quietly reminiscing about days gone by and tending to her lush garden. When she falls ill, she is reunited with a former student, Todd Cope, a nurse on staff at the local hospital where she is a patient.

I found an old email from many years ago recently where I had ask my brother to find The Last Dance to copy for me and my mom. My mom had told me about it and had raved about how good it was, especially since she was a retired teacher. No one had a copy anymore it seemed and my brother and I looked all over the place, even Amazon, without any luck. So a few months ago when I found the old email, I searched the internet again and found Zeus. TaDa! There it was, so I bought it. It came right before Easter and I took it down to my mom’s. She didn’t remember it or remember telling me about it. She doesn’t remember some things well anymore, but we sat down with tea and watched it and she absolutely remembered seeing it before— and it is a lovely story. So thank you, Milo, for making my mom’s Easter weekend something So Special! It was definitely viewable, and my mom loved it. I am a teacher too, and the story was endearing.
