Enrico Mattei helped change Italy's future, first as a freedom-fighter against the Nazis, then as an investor in methane gas through a public company, A.G.I.P., and ultimately as the head of ENI, a state body formed for the development of oil resources. On October 27, 1962, he died when his private airplane crashed, one minute before it should land at Milan airport. Officially, he died in a flight accident. Actually, many journalists explored other plausible reasons for the untimely landing of the small aircraft.

  1. It is not prudent to make many and powerful enemies 5 Star Review

The film, released in 1972 in a very tense climate (Rossi received death threats; a collaborator disappeared in Sicily) could only produce a beam of presumption for an assassination camouflaged in an accident. It will be necessary to wait for scientific analyzes practiced 20 years later on an instrument on board the plane and on the signet ring of Mattei so that the Italian justice recognizes in November 1997 the explosion of a bomb on board the plane.
Only regret: the packaging in a paper pouch. I changed it to a plastic case, illustrated with a copy of the movie poster.
