A plucky orphan girl runs away from the orphanage. Her only possession is her beloved Bible in which she has complete faith and this helps her cope with the often cruel realities of life on the run. Eventually the young fugitive teams up with a street-wise shoe-shine boy who takes her to a kindly newspaper editor who provides her with the home she has searched for.

    Not one of Virginia Weidler's best performances, her character in BAD LITTLE ANGEL nonetheless has a certain charming innocence not found in modern screen orphans. Biblically-based and devoid of irony, this picture does raise interesting questions about the role of Providence in human lives and potential "angels" in our midst.

    I never get tired of seeing this movie because of how good the movie is. Love the movie from beginning to end and it teaches such good lessons in humanity. The movie is a lot like 'Pollyana, and how she came to a town and touched the hearts of those she met forever changing their lives. Wish this movie would have been longer.
