The stunning "Cadence" (1990) hit many memorable notes
Harry Stewart's soulful voice -- along with the black prisoners' rhythmic marching -- highlights this much underrated film. Stinging dialogue by a group of fine actors was memorable. Martin Sheen -- who directed the movie -- was a hated, brilliant villain. His son, Charlie Sheen, played one of his best screen roles.
