The first man to make television self-aware!
I am old enough to remember this show (sigh) but to my knowledge, no other comedy show that I have seen, has even come close to the innovation level reached by Ernie Kovacs. The man did what seemed at the time, impossible and cartoon like for television... Especially for those days! Alas his life was cut short, so he had less time to evolve with the technology, but there are several volumes of his stuff still available, and should be shown in college screen writing/direction classes.

quality was great.the show brought back many fond memories of watching these great old shows as a kid. Ernie Kovacs was great.
