The Remarkable Andrew (1942)
Brian Donlevy, William Holden, Ellen Drew
When Andrew Long, hyper-efficient small town accountant, finds a $1240 discrepancy in the city budget, his superiors try to explain it away. When he insists on pursuing the matter, he's in danger of being blamed himself. In his trouble, the spirit of Andrew Jackson, whom he idolizes, visits him, and in turn, summons much high-powered talent from American history...which only Andrew can see. Can he get out of trouble before too many people think he's crazy?

Very good print. Excellent movie. Remembered seeing it when I was younger. It made a good impression.

Finding a DVD of an uncommon movie with nostalgic meaning to my family was priceless. Surprising my father and watching it with him to celebrate his 78th birthday was even better. Even though it was a comedy/fantasy he cried. The last time we saw this 1942 film was 34 years ago, just before it was stolen with our VCR! Thank you zeusdvds.com for your unique service. There were just a couple of brief spots when the sound was not stellar, but that would be expected for a vintage item. And it did not detract from our experience.
