In this adventure, Navy researchers team up with marine biologists to create an effective shark repellent for WW II pilots who must fly over oceans. Unfortunately, the project is supervised by an unscrupulous scientist who wants to get the project finished and endeavors to have an inferior product given to the Navy. When his shoddy workmanship results in the death of an innocent young man, the scientist becomes genuinely committed to his task and even uses himself as a guinea pig with the final formula.
