YOU AND ME (1938) is one of the earliest and quirkiest noir films by famed German director Fritz Lang (The Big Heat, 1953). Born in Vienna, Lang was responsible for some of the most technically and visually groundbreaking films of the silent and early sound era, including Metropolis (1927) and M (1931). Landing at MGM after fleeing Nazi Germany, he would make 21 features in the next 21 years, many of them noted for their gut-wrenching stories and striking camerawork.
