In this entry in the "Dr. Kildare" series, Kildare is faced with a difficult decision: should he return home to work in his father's quiet country practice or work at exciting, New York-set Blair General Hospital? Though his parents and his girlfriend are against it, Kildare chooses the latter.

The Dr. Kildare series is fun for those of us who don't realize how much medicine has advanced over the years. I was born about 14 years after the series began and it's fascinating to see these stars in roles like this. The TV series, starring Richard Chamberlain and Raymond Massey made Chamberlain a household name.
